Top Gunchained is a 75-minute feel-good comedy show, an unauthorised parody marking 40 years since Top Gun's cinema release, bringing the beloved characters, romance and action of the aerial blockbuster to the stage. It is written and performed by Richard Marsh, a London poetry slam champion and BBC Audio Drama award-winner, and directed by Hal Chambers with movement by Emma Webb, presented by Seabright Live. The show follows father and son superfans who can't agree on anything except their favourite film, while a Fringe First-winning poet re-enacts the movie's signature dogfights alone. It was named one of The Telegraph's best shows of the 2026 Edinburgh Fringe and comes from the creative team behind Yippee Ki Yay.
