A talk marking the launch of the book Twelve Days That Shook the Middle East. Marwan Bishara, senior political analyst at Al Jazeera, is joined in conversation by Richard Sanders of Double Down News. In the book, Bishara argues that the three-year Gaza war, justified with the language of national security, executes a premeditated colonial and genocidal strategy. The two speakers will discuss writing the book, journalism during a war in which many Palestinian colleagues were killed, and the virtues and pitfalls of prediction in conflict; proceeds from event sales go to the Galilee Foundation.
