VESSELS OF EARTH is an exhibition at Flow Gallery showing the work of two Japanese ceramic artists. Akiko Takahashi, shown at the gallery for the first time, builds with coils of clay and sometimes breaks the form to reveal a previously hidden interior. Alongside her, Tamotsu Suzuki presents a new collection of vessels. Both work slowly and shape by hand, with dark clay meeting pale slips and organic forms drawn from natural surroundings.
