Where Flowers Gather is an exhibition of works by the London-based artist Hepzibah Swinford, presented by the Rebecca Hossack Art Gallery. Swinford's practice centres on floral pattern and ornament, drawing on antique and contemporary sources such as Dutch flower painting, Ming and Meissen porcelain and textile design traditions from William Morris onward, with echoes of Matisse, Miró and Rajasthani miniatures. She creates layered compositions in which historical motifs are reconfigured within a contemporary visual language. The presentation forms part of the gallery's ongoing collaboration with the award-winning American designer Billy Reid.
