A UK book launch and signing celebrating twenty years of the portrait series Faces and Phases by South African photographer and visual activist Zanele Muholi, winner of the 2026 Hasselblad Award. Edited by Renée Mussai and published by MACK, the book brings together more than 300 largely unpublished photographs, personal testimonies, essays and an interview championing the visibility and dignity of Black LGBTQIA+ communities. The launch, co-produced by Michael Burgess of Creative Resilience International with support from MACK and Southern Guild, includes an artist conversation, signing sessions, photographs and a reception, with INALA performances the same day. Books will be available to purchase at the launch.
