Art + You is a gallery gathering at the Whitney Museum where younger adults share thoughts on artworks through close looking and conversation, taking place on Floor 8. Facilitated by museum educator and Brooklyn-based artist Jacqueline Cedar, it explores the exhibition 'The Lost World: The Art of Minnie Evans' through discussion and drawing. Participants consider how artists draw inspiration from memory, nature and the subconscious, then experiment with automatic drawing, color and shape to make their own works. The event is free with limited capacity, and advance registration is encouraged, though drop-ins with Free Friday Night admission are welcome space-pending.
