An Artist Talk and Memorial Walk marking World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, featuring Michael James Freedman's multimedia installation The Distance From Here and Crashscape.nyc. Freedman's art and advocacy project transforms traffic-crash data into narrative, with oil paintings tied to fatal crashes near Littlefield and an augmented reality app visualizing crashes on local streets. Local elected officials, representatives of Families for Safe Streets, and members of the artistic and general community are invited to experience the artwork, remember loved ones, and learn how to support initiatives making streets safer from traffic violence. The gathering begins at Littlefield and continues into the surrounding streets.
