An artist talk in which Tess Oldfield discusses her work across sound, sculpture, and computation. She traces her ongoing research into breath, voice, instrument-making, and mechanical systems, including the work Pitch Pipe Choir and experiments made during her Visiting Artist and Designer Fellowship at UrbanGlass. Her talk considers the poetics of the choir and collective sound production, and how individual sounding bodies gather, breathe, resonate, and negotiate a collective voice.
