A book club meeting to discuss the memoir Adrift in the South by Xiao Hai. It is part of the China Books Review book club, a bimonthly series hosted by its editors, and focuses on migrant workers' literature — the book recounts the '23 dreamlike years' a Chinese migrant laborer spent working 17 jobs in seven cities. Readers should read their own copy in advance and RSVP, as seats are limited.
