"Book of hOurs" is a dance event at Studio 3R in New York. Dance artists Vanessa and Erin, who first joined artistic forces in 2005, reunite at Arts on Site to present work reflecting on their seasoned paths, with once-young students now performers and new works sinking into historical relevance. They present individual work during the season of their milestone birthdays, making "Book of hOurs" a nod to the passage of time, a meditation on perennial artists, and a celebration of timing and age. The program includes "Light As a Feather…….Stiff As A Board", premiered in 2000 at Williamsburg Arts NeXus, of which only the finale is shown: a take on the Kingdom Of The Shades processional from La Bayadere, set to music by Minkus and the Velvet Underground, examining the tension between anonymity, creativity and the need to be bold.
