A thought-provoking stage play, The People Versus Lenny Bruce, followed by a Q&A discussion. It is presented by Cause Celebre Productions and the New York Society for Ethical Culture, written by Susan Charlotte and directed by Antony Marsellis, based on the case of lawyer Marty Garbus. The play tells the heart-breaking but humorous story of Lenny Bruce and his New York trial, and of his lawyer Marty Garbus, who tried to save Bruce from the system and from himself. The cast includes Johnny Anthony, Timothy Doyle, Dan Grimaldi, Ian Lithgow, Roberta Wallach and Jack Wetheral.
