Compost Processing Workday is a hands-on turn-and-learn workshop about composting. It is run by Snug Harbor, funded in part by the New York City Council through A Greener NYC and by the Civic Impact Fund initiative of NYC Service. Participants learn how to produce compost at home, how to mix greens and browns into a compost pile, and why reducing food waste through composting matters. The workshop takes place at the Snug Harbor Compost Demo Site at Heritage Farm, with registration requested and free admission.
