A hands-on demonstration on making your own bitters and bitter liqueurs at home, just before the Thanksgiving season of overeating. It is led by Julianne Zaleta, who shares the history of bitter herbs and the tradition of remedies, cocktail bitters and digestifs. Participants learn about and smell a range of bittering agents, discover flavoring ingredients and solvents, and sample a homemade Bitters & Soda from the instructor's collection. Attendees leave knowing how to choose and assemble ingredients to make delicious homemade bitters.
