A jazz piano trio performance at The Django. The David Janeway Trio features veteran jazz pianist David Janeway, who grew up in Detroit, on piano, Ugonna Okegwo on bass and Chris Beck on drums. Janeway's repertoire includes memorable originals ranging from straight-ahead to contemporary, free, swing and Latin, and he has played with greats such as Benny Golson, Art Farmer, Sonny Fortune and the Supremes. His preferred setting as a leader is the piano trio, and his latest album 'Forward Motion' was released on Steeplechase Records in 2024.
