A screening of the film "Detour". Edgar G. Ulmer directed this 1945 tale in which a down-on-his-luck pianist, Al Roberts, recalls a fateful roadside encounter with the femme fatale Vera, in a classic of noir absurdism from Hollywood's so-called "Poverty Row" studios. It features Tom Neal and Ann Savage.
