Printed Matter, Inc. hosts the New York launch of Demon Portraits, a book by Eric Copeland, with the Southern California gallery Dem Passwords. Copeland made the book by cutting letters out of four identical copies of Aldous Huxley's Brave New World and pasting them over the narrative, using correction fluid on others, in a process that took more than 11,000 hours over three and a half years. The result sits between poetry and prose and rhymes with his work as a visual artist and as a member of Black Dice. The launch runs from 6 to 8 PM at the store in Chelsea.
