A hands-on workshop for taking back control of your digital life, followed by a reception. It is led by Prashast Thapan, an artist, game designer, and entrepreneur from New Delhi, India, now based in New York City, and founder of the independent game studio Pariah Interactive. The workshop explores open-source alternatives to major technology platforms, including local AI models that run on your own computer without the cloud, alternative search and communication platforms, and ways to keep more of your data under your control. Participants will try running an AI model locally and leave with a practical guide of tools to try at home; no coding experience is required.
