Fridge-Giving is a Thanksgiving dinner fundraiser for the Essex Market Community Fridge, a community fridge on Essex Street where people can take or leave food as needed. Essex Market hosts this second annual event to fund regular fridge restocks through the holiday season. Guests enjoy a three-course Thanksgiving dinner featuring Essex Market vendors, a choice of alcoholic or non-alcoholic autumnal cocktail, and a raffle. Chef Lily Chin will demonstrate how to turn Thanksgiving leftovers into a Turkey Pot Pie, and an exclusive limited-edition Autumnal Essex Market Tote bag will launch at the event.
