Garth Fagan Dance is an evening of dance by the Rochester-based company of the same name, performed at The Joyce Theater. The program fuses modern, post-modern, Afro-Caribbean, and ballet influences and marks the company's 55th season, honoring Distinguished Artistic Director Emeritus Garth Fagan, the Tony Award-winning choreographer behind Disney's The Lion King and winner of the 2025 Bessie Award for Lifetime Achievement. It includes Fagan's Prelude: Discipline is Freedom and Never Top 40, plus two New York premieres: Priestess Hill by Artistic Director Norwood "PJ" Pennewell and Messages To The Storm by Executive Director Natalie Rogers-Cropper. The run lasts 1 hour and 40 minutes including intermission, with a Curtain Chat performance and a Family Matinee among the showings.
