An evening pairing the dance work "Grain" with an open conversation and refreshments in the Robert Lehman Gallery. Choreographer Meagan Woods, dancer Shawn Brush, and musicians Paul Pinto and Joe Bergen use costumes of clear geometric structures holding colored sand, whose sounds meet drumming, singing, looping, and pre-recorded tracks. The performance explores the beauty, history, and ecological relationships between people and sand. Afterwards, the six artists behind it and the exhibition "Confluence" invite the audience to share questions and reflections over refreshments.
