A play titled "How to Get to Heaven from the Crawfish Pond", a darkly comic Louisiana love story about death, desire, family, faith and redemption, at the Community Space Theater. Written by Melanie Maria Goodreaux and directed by Goodreaux with Christopher Bello, it is the world premiere marking her 25th year of writing and directing plays. Crawfish farmer Earl Roussel has been dead for ten years when he wakes in a "Purgatory" that is his front yard, while his dying wife Ruth escapes at night to be with him and their estranged children and a pair of possibly fraudulent nuns circle the family. Run time is 2 hours, with tickets at $25, $15 for students and seniors, and pay-what-you-can Sundays.
