"Jane Benson | her her" is an exhibition at Sargent's Daughters in New York, running from October 30 to December 5, 2026. The show presents text-based drawings that reframe Mary Shelley's Frankenstein as a lyrical exploration of womanhood and rage, grounded in the chapters narrated by the monster. The works include drawings on translucent paper mounted on iridescent Plexi, a large-scale print dissolving the text into chromatic points, drawings of elm trees echoing Shelley's own sketches, and a sung score performed by mezzo soprano Hai-Ting Chinn that plays at timed intervals around the gallery.
