Jennie C. Jones and Melvin Edwards are included in the group exhibition Hard Art, on view at MoMA PS1 in Queens from November 5, 2026. Hard Art is a major exhibition examining the legacy of abstract painting by Black artists in the US from 1969 to today. It features over forty artists, juxtaposing historical painters who came to prominence in the 1970s with recent conceptually driven practices in sculpture, video, sound, and painting, and traces the legacy of three generations of artists.
