An art exhibition at the gallery Harkawik in Lower Manhattan showing the work of Bay Area painter Karen Barbour under the title 'Diamond Garden for Cornelia'. It is the gallery's third exhibition with Barbour and features canvases she has worked on since the 1980s, which evolved from realistic scenes of her life into blocky, dismembered bodies and then abstractions. The title painting began with a story about precious elver eels that slips into the diamond trade and a family quip that Barbour would one day make her niece Cornelia a diamond garden.
