Live Processing Paint and Sound is a performance combining live painting and interactive sound. Painter Heidi Howard creates a painting while sound art pioneer Liz Phillips live-processes aquatic recordings with sensors, contact microphones, and a theremin, turning brushstrokes and fish activity into an immersive water soundscape, with live video synthesis on a large projection screen. The program, part of Harvestworks' 50th anniversary celebration, includes an introduction by Ivana Dama and a conversation with Sanna Almajedi. A free livestream will be available and archived.
