Fraunces Tavern Museum invites you to the opening of its new exhibition, Martha, The First Founding Mother Revealed. The exhibition centers on Martha Washington as a leader, role model, maternal figure, and trusted partner to her husband, George Washington. It will detail her emergence as a national figure whose influence helped shape early American ideas about leadership, patriotism, and public service. The reception includes refreshments, an interpretation by Colonial Williamsburg's Martha Washington interpreter Katharine Pittman with a Q&A, and remarks from the Sons of the Revolution in the State of New York and Daughters of the American Revolution.
