NYC Drawing the Dance Workshop is an in-person drawing session at Dixon Place Theater where artists sketch a dancer who moves slowly and holds poses of increasing length. It is organized by Creative Performances and presented by Dixon Place Theater, with dancer Rebekah Sharples Schmidt as the model. The Halloween/Trick or Treat themed session lasts about two hours with a ten-minute costume-change break. Artists bring their own materials, keep their own drawings, and no instruction is provided.
