A 90-minute study session on the Sallatha Sutta, the Arrow Discourse from the Pali Canon, held at New York Zendo. Jifu Devyani Sadh, a practitioner of over thirty years in the Vipassana, Tibetan, and Zen traditions, facilitates it. Through the Buddha's metaphor of the two arrows, the session explores the difference between inevitable pain and the extra suffering created by habitual reactions. It opens with zazen and chanting of the sutta, followed by commentary and contemplative group discussion; no prior experience is needed.
