Open Hours are the public visiting times of the Old Stone House, a historic house in Brooklyn where visitors can drop in without a reservation. The organizer is Old Stone House & Washington Park, which keeps the house open and welcomes all, with a suggested three-dollar donation at the door and no one turned away for lack of funds. Upstairs, the contemporary exhibition 'Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Land', curated by Jeremy Dennis, brings together new work by Indigenous artists Luanne Redeye, Ella Mahoney, Leonard Harmon and Dennis himself to examine the contradiction between the Declaration of Independence's promises and the dispossession of Native lands. On the ground floor, the permanent exhibit 'The Old Stone House: Witness to War' leads visitors through ten themed areas covering the journey from the Lenape village of Marechkawick through Dutch colonization and the Revolutionary War era in Brooklyn.
