The Bronx Documentary Center hosts a photobook talk in which documentary photographer Andrew Lichtenstein presents his book This Short Life. The book combines photographs with oral histories to profile 12 Americans working toward a more just and equitable society during a period of political and social upheaval, exploring activism, community and imagined futures. Lichtenstein's third book in a trilogy about America, it shares stories of struggle, sacrifice and redemption through intimate portraits and first-person testimony. The talk covers the people and stories in the book and his collaborative approach, and is followed by an audience Q&A, with books available for purchase.
