A screening of the horror film 'Prince of Darkness'. John Carpenter directs this second film in his unofficial apocalypse trilogy, starring Carpenter veteran Donald Pleasence as a priest who enlists a group of scientists and graduate students to investigate a mysterious cylinder in a Los Angeles church that might be connected to an ancient evil force. Met with middling reviews during its original release, it is now considered one of Carpenter's greatest achievements in atmospheric terror. It also features another one of his classic synthesizer scores, with Victor Wong, Jameson Parker, Lisa Blount, Dennis Dun, Susan Blanchard and Alice Cooper among the cast.
