A puppet show called Ramleela brings the story of Diwali to life on stage. It comes from the Children's Museum of Manhattan and retells a famous tale from the epic Ramayan, set in ancient India, where Ram, Sita, Lakshman, Hanuman and Ravana appear as puppets. The performance teaches the meaning of true devotion, love, kindness and valor while explaining why Diwali is celebrated. It ends with a surprise celebration and is suited for ages five and up.
