An artist-in-residence workshop series titled “In the Heart of Queens,” an eight-week intergenerational artistic offering. Teaching artists Ryan C. Kim and Amy E. Witting of Roundabout Theatre Company lead it in-conversation with the Off-Broadway production of "The Heart," a musical adapted from Maylis de Kerangal's novel "Réparer les Vivants." Through writing and performance, participants build an ensemble, explore personal and collective stories, and experiment with adapting memories, conversations, library resources, and lived experiences into original theatrical work. The group creates, rehearses, and shares a new performance celebrating the voices, histories, and communities of Queens. Registration is encouraged by email.
