Dinner Church is a worship service held at the table around a big meal that everyone prepares together. It takes place at St. Lydia's, a church congregation, where lay-led worship is paired with conversation and communion made as the group shares food, explores scripture, sings and prays. The practice revives the tradition of shared sacred meals from the earliest days of the church, part of a growing dinner church movement in the United States. Gatherings are intimate, usually with 10 to 25 people, and visitors are welcome to simply show up.
