The Thanksgiving Food Drive collects canned goods and non-perishable items for neighbors in need, benefiting the Church of the Ascension Food Pantry on West 107th Street in Manhattan Valley. It is co-sponsored by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul and the Interparish Religious Education Program at Saint Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church. Suggested donations include canned vegetables, fruits, fish and meat, boxed or bagged staples like rice, pasta and cereal, and oils in plastic bottles or cans; no glass jars or bottles are accepted. Items may be dropped off daily at the Parish House.
