"The Living Room and Death" is a play at The Tank, running from October 22nd to November 1st. Katrin Arefy wrote the play and Ali Kamran directs it, with Thomas Donohoe as stage manager and Francesca Bolam as artistic associate. Five family members in a farcical domestic setting deal with the loss of a loved one, while the Angel of Death and Azazel, a fallen angel, bring a surreal, otherworldly presence to the scene. Its humor comes from the absurdity of its characters grappling with the profound and the trivial alike, in an absurdist tradition, around themes of death, grief, and mortality.
