Turn. Turning. TURNT. is a three-part evening of dance with Double Dutch jump roping, pulsing sound, and considered movement. It is choreographed and directed by Cynthia Oliver, a Bessie Award-winning choreographer and 2022 Guggenheim Fellow, with a cast of six contemporary dance artists. The works were made before, during, and after the 2020 global pandemic: Tether meditates on Black girls' creativity and play, Fallow depicts the pandemic's chaotic underbelly, and Summon. Sow. Reap. explores re-emergence from isolation through rhythm and spiritual patterning. It runs 1 hour 5 minutes with no intermission.
