A verbal description and touch tour for individuals who are blind or have low vision, exploring the exhibition "Locating Girlhood: Place and Identity in Early American “Schoolgirl” Art". Learning & Engagement staff at the American Folk Art Museum lead a 90-minute gallery tour with verbal description, object handling and guided discussion, with coffee and pastries served. The exhibition reexamines the artistic production of girls and young women in eighteenth- and nineteenth-century America, focusing on representations of place in "schoolgirl" art such as samplers and needlework pictures.
