A Writing Life special event at The New York Society Library, open to the public, brings together four widely published mystery authors for a discussion on how to plot mystery and crime fiction. It is co-presented by the Library and Mystery Writers of America-New York, with Charles Salzberg moderating Naomi Rand, Laura Joh Rowland, and Lori Robbins. The panel explores questions such as whether to outline or write by the seat of one's pants, how pre-planning shapes character and raises the stakes, and the advantages of each writing process. The event takes place in the Cooper Room, is free of charge, and requires registration.
