Balkan Jam is an open jam session for musicians with basic skills. Behind it is clarinettist Martin Schumacher, who also plays accordion and saxophone. Together the participants explore well-known and lesser-known melodies from Southeastern Europe, encountering oriental-sounding scales and the typical odd time signatures. The jam takes place with six participants or more.
