During the Betriebstage Sächsitram, historic trams run on line 6 between the main station and the zoo, or in the city centre along the Limmatquai and Bahnhofstrasse. The route is only announced by the Thursday before the operating weekend. Two associations are behind the event: Aktion pro Sächsitram organises the trips, with Verein Tram-Museum Zürich as partner. The historic cars are driven and crewed by conductors and attendants from both associations.
