Check Your Balls Day offers free testicular cancer screenings on Helvetiaplatz in Zurich. It is organized by the Swiss nonprofit Having a Ball – Joseph Barnes Association for the Prevention of Testicular Cancer, founded in 2023 in memory of Joseph Barnes, who died of testicular cancer in 2022. Experienced urologists from the University Hospital of Zurich carry out the discreet examinations in a heated tent. Visitors also get information on self-exams, one-on-one conversations with the team, and free hot drinks and snacks.
