At the Maag Areal, an exhibition is on view devoted to the work of an influential Swiss artist of the 20th century. It was curated by a painter who to this day regards him as an important artistic reference and is showing his own exhibition in parallel. The show brings together works from the late 1960s through the 1980s, among them painted shelves, object assemblages, prints, self-drawings and pieces made from unusual materials such as chocolate or light bulbs. It presents an open understanding of art in which studio, material, working process and life are inseparably connected and the boundaries between the everyday and art dissolve.
