The IfI colloquium is a free public lecture series by the Department of Informatics at the University of Zurich, open to researchers, students and the interested public with no registration required. On 12 November, Prof. Dr. Aviv Tamar of Technion ECE, Israel Institute of Technology, speaks on "Artificial Touch: the Next Frontier for AI". The talk is hosted by Prof. Dr. Giorgia Ramponi. It is about artificial touch, for example in the context of medical palpation, a large robotic tactile dataset, and methods for learning from it.
