A hands-on workshop for children where kids use the Thymio robot to build their own alien, a creature from outer space that might have arms, legs and perhaps even teeth like ours. One of those teeth hurts: as soon as the opposing team touches it, the robot bites down. In this playful way, children dive into the world of robotics and programming with no prior knowledge needed. The workshop is run by mint & pepper of Wyss Zurich, a programme promoting young talent from ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich that gives children and young people in Switzerland access to top international research; it is aimed at children aged 10 to 12 without adults, lasts 90 minutes and is held in German.
