The Offener Kleiderschrank Rütihof is a publicly accessible turquoise wardrobe on the outer wall of the GZ barn, where clothing of all sizes can be given and taken around the clock. It is run by Quartierarbeit GZ Höngg in cooperation with ReFashion, a non-profit association aiming to establish sustainable handling of textiles. In Switzerland, 110,000 tonnes of clothing end up in the garbage every year, about 13 kg per resident; the wardrobe is meant to reduce this waste. Only clothing is welcome, other items are not.
