The Offener Kleiderschrank Rütihof is a publicly accessible cupboard on the outside wall of the GZ barn, where clothing for giving and taking in all sizes is available around the clock. The offer comes from Quartierarbeit GZ Höngg in cooperation with ReFashion, a non-profit association promoting sustainable handling of textiles. The turquoise cupboard is intended exclusively for clothes; other items are not welcome. The initiative aims to reduce clothing waste, as 110,000 tonnes of clothing end up in the trash in Switzerland every year.
