"PAPER MIRRORS" is a richly illustrated talk on the history of psychedelic art and the emergence of blotter art. The internationally active artist Kevin Barron explores how psychedelic visual worlds developed and how printed blotting paper evolved from a functional medium into an artistic form in its own right. Drawing on selected examples, he examines the cultural, social and aesthetic contexts of this distinctive art form. The talk also offers a deeper introduction to the exhibition, opening a window onto a visual universe where counterculture, contemporary history and art intersect.
