Soap Fever (Kaunarikuume) is a documentary about an extraordinary Finnish phenomenon of the early 1990s. While Finland was struggling through a severe recession, The Bold and the Beautiful offered millions of viewers a daily escape into the glamorous world of the Forresters. Director Inka Achté looks back at the series' enormous popularity in Finland, the frenzy surrounding its stars' visits, and the deeper need for escapism, connection and hope during difficult times. The screening is organised by the SVFF Gruppe Zürich.
