"Texte ohne Grenzen – نصوص بلا حدود" is an Arabic-German evening of readings and conversation titled "Der Rauch unserer Stimmen". Behind it are the Palestinian poet Mona Al Assi and the Syrian prose writer Zaher Al Jamous, who have both lived in Switzerland for more than ten years and write in Arabic. Their texts are shaped by memories of their homeland and the inner tornness of exile, mapping spaces between loss and the present and giving their experiences a personal story and language. The evening is musically accompanied by Christian Moser on the oud.
